Given the circumstances, this should be a blowout win for the Cs. Yet somehow it isn't. Are they treating this like some random RS game? Because it feels so...

Cleveland is playing hard. Playing with desperation they've put up a fight. For the Celtics the only important thing is that they get the win.

Do the Cavs regret tanking the last game of the season now?

If it meant they could retain Mitchell, Garland would be gone in a flash. There are many passing type 6'4"+ guards.
Talent > Fit.

Tatum with 33/11/5. Similar numbers to game 3, but no one will make a peep.

I said I'd rather have Mitchell but fit does matter. A tab with scorers is likely better off with a point guard than another scorer and a small sg can get taken advantage of defensively. But Mitchell has a history of being a lot better in the playoffs and you can base the offense on him.

The last time a traditional PG with a team of scorers won a title was when?
Toronto? Before that, Mavs? I wouldn't prioritize any strategy around a game manager PG because it's rarely-winning strategy.

2020 Lebron. Can make an argument for Jrue. Draymond and Jokic were the game managers for their respective title teams.

Well i do hope they don't falter once the intensity gets high. With or without kp, i think they're not playing in their full strength yet. Apparently he needs to come back too for them to do so.

Jrue Holiday helped Milwaukee win a ring just 2 or 3 years ago. It's not that rare.

How often does a team win a championship with a pg-size two as their main scorer? It's pretty close to never. Championship is a tough standard and it's not relevant when we're talking about two players that would never be the best player on a contender.

Nice game, but nothing to write home about for a player of his caliber against Mitchell-less Cavs. Just like in game 3, he started very efficiently and ended the game 11-25. Nothing drives me crazier than when a player takes the ball up the court and shoots without one teammate touching the ball(with very rare exceptions), it stagnates the offense so badly.

Cleveland brought intensity to this game. What they lack is talent. This was actually one of the few games where the Celtics trailed in the second half, found themselves challenged and handled it successfully. That isn't because they're chokers it's because they have been killing teams so regularly that they had grown unaccustomed to having to fight for a win. I'm not sure the Celtics have two game-winning shots. This game may well have been good for them in that regard.
