Yes, that's been his stance the entire time regarding the financial deficit we're in. Dems need to make a new resolution that doesn't require republican support, which is what they're doing.

Anyone who thought they would insta-get a $2k check with Biden simply hasn't been paying attention...Trump tried to get us $2k checks, it wouldn't pass, he couldn't do it....and the $600 checks we just received took months of back and forth.

dementia joe promised georgia voters "$2k immediately" if they won dems the senate. biden could have passed a standalone bill through budget reconciliation on day ONE, but instead wants to go the 'unity' route. repubs will of course play along and use and abuse the poor old **** going forward.

so snyway, that $2k turned into $1400 'more targeted', and now possibly only $1000 even MORE targeted which he'll apparently be discussing with senate republicans today. the dems won georgia, and they've basically already thrown it away. all he had to do was come into office strong, passing in-the-moment populist legislation (which he ran on and won with), and get people vaccinated - he'd basically be a lock for 2024.

...but dems of course can't stop shooting themselves in the foot. this whole unity shit is going to be hilarious because congressional republicans are gonna play him like a f***ing fiddle for the next tsl years and next thing you know he'll have gotten nothing done (besides black trans shit) and republicans will have back the house and/or senate.

if you've been following this with any type of a watchful eye you'd know it's true. there have been several articles (out of the mainstream) stating how georgia swing voters are outraged about it and stating how folks that canvassed for biden/warnock/ossoff promising people $2k checks are very upset that they did so. cnn won't tell you that though - they're too busy talking about the white house's new dogs.
