Finals Butler averaging 29/7/10 on 58/40/90
Lol Lakers defense should be ashamed of themselves letting Butler have a GOAT level series through three games. In fact, Butler is outplaying Lebron AND AD right now when you factor in his GOAT-level game three.
Honestly this just gives more credence that the "bubble" is a complete anomaly. Never have so many second and third tier "stars" played GOAT level ball. When the bubble is all wrapped up, it's hard to even define what happened. So many strange things.

Lebron always makes the opposing wings better. Kawhi, Iggy, KD & now Butler.

He doesn't even guard Butler that much. NBA defense run so many switching schemes that it's not often you get one guy guarding someone the whole game.
I expect Lebron to take Butler's assignment in the 4th quarter next game. Lakers need to shore up their defense badly and adjust to the fact that Olynyk is playing and not Bam.

He switched off Butler multiple times when he could have stayed with him or trapped him though, some of that's obviously the fault of their defensive game plan. Butler got the better of him on both ends whenever they did match up against eachother, obviously Butler didn't score 40 points on Lebron, but he bested him in some of the key moments.

Bloated averages but Jimmy is definitely balling. Yesterday's performance was a complete throwback to midrange.
There were multiple possessions Bron either got cooked or switched because he didn't want that work. Gotta call a spade a spade.
Hopefully the series stays competitive.

Yeah I mean no doubt Butler shitted on everyone INCLUDING Lebron...this bubble is so weird man. I'm honestly completely ready for it to be over, I don't care who wins it at this point.
Let's all get back to the normal NBA with FANS and a real ATMOSPHERE.

The averages aren’t bloated. They’re necessary.
Especially if you consider the fact they lost two of their starters, which was their second and third best player. Otherwise it’s not bloated.
That’s like saying LeBron’s 2015 numbers are ridiculously bloated, because he didn’t have his second and third best player. Was his 2015 Finals bloated too?

The bubble inflates all numbers. Don't kid yourself, Coach.

To an extent. For some players. So LeBron and AD’s numbers are bloated? Got it.

No traveling. No fans booing your ass off the court. No homecourt in general. Everyone eats, including Lebron and AD.
A title is STILL a title with everyone playing under the same conditions, sure, but the curve is still there.

Shouldn't be a surprise.
Durant, Kawhi, Iggy, and now Butler have all taken turns on him.

Lol get real. A lot of things in the bubble have been a surprise. NO ONE would have expected Butler to put up GOAT numbers, so you can't say you aren't surprised with a straight face.

Again... Kawhi and Durant put up GOAT numbers as well on him. Durant put up 35 ppg on 70 TS which is even better than Butler. Baby Kawhi's 3 game avalanche in 2014 he was shooting like 75 TS as well. Even a regular season 8 PPG Iggy won FMVP over him. So no... you shouldn't be surprised. It's embarrassing that the Lakers couldn't sweep this team minus their 2nd and third best players. It would be like the 2015 cavs up against the 2017 warriors. Butler one man army'ed them yesterday.

Knicks all da way
Re: Finals Butler averaging 29/7/10 on 58/40/90
Seems like Jimmy's got a bigger frame than Westbrook or Jamal Murray, smaller guys that Lebron could easily bully. Jimmy while still being smaller, can go at him.
That being said, that was the game of Jimmy's life. He is not doing that again. By again, I mean a 40 point triple double in the finals he might have another decent game but not like this.
