Russell or Towns at #1?
If the Knicks get lucky enough to get the choice? Russell or Towns?
Obviously if the pick comes with them off the board for the Knicks it's got to be willie cauley-stein

I get that in the top 5 esp you have to draft the best overall player and not by position or fit. But if you group some guys together how do you look at them?
I think there can be a difference in the overall player rankings and those for your team specifically. I'd love it if some of you listed top 5 or 10 overall and then just a Knicks Draft board
Overall
1- towns/Russell
3- mudiay
4- wcs
5- looney
6- porzingis
7- okafor
Knicks
1- towns/Russell
3- wcs
4- porzingis
5- okafor
6- mudiay

Nope. Wcs is a great fit for ny. His defensive versatility would help so much. It would allow the Knicks to go after whatever best big they can find out of all the 4's and 5's. You draft an okafor type then have to overpay a limited group to fit around him
Who would you take at the same age Noah or Randolph

On the overall list or the Knicks list?
Who is your 1-3?

Re: Russell or Towns at #1?
Towns or Mudiay. Russell is nothing but a decent passer and a great shooter. Can easily be replaced with role players that are good shooters and decent passers. Mudiay could end up being as good as John Wall at 6'5'' 200. For me, Mudiay's stock instantly went down a bit when he couldn't play for SMU. If he ended up making SMU reach the Elite 8/Final 4 while carrying them, I think without question hes the Number 1 in the draft.

Jeez, wtf people.
It's Towns, then Okafor. After that it's interesting. I haven't seen Mundiay, but i love Winslow. LOVE. Would take at #3 in a second. Russell, eh. He seems ok but years away.

Towns because of his immense two potential. Okafor only because I do think he'll be able to score right away. Third is Russel, dude is gonna be a boss in this guard oriented league.

How many years does it take for towns or okafor to become better than Monroe or Kanter?

I think both can average 16/10 in their first year. Towns definitely can play better defense as well.
Do you realize how terrible Monore is? The guy isnt even a good shooter, and plays no defense at all.

I do realize, maybe not how terrible he is- but definitly how great he is not
Greg Monroe as the big free agent acquisition would be a terrible summer.
All I'm trying to say is I don't think towns will be any better than Monroe for a few seasons. At least. If you believe his ceiling is the highest and that he will reach it then obviously you take him.
I think d'angelo Russell is in the same tier. Difference is he plays a spot that will be much harder to fill and will be more ready to make an impact on day 1

I guess I better admit you can't take Russell at 1. Knicks get #1 then they have to trade it.
