Can you give me other examples of a teammate having more Win Shares than the guy who "dragged his team into the Playoffs" and was simultaneously bad? I'll wait...

Also, Bynum had a good year. Not to overstate the advanced stats, but he had a higher PER, more Win Shares and more WS/48. If Gasol and Bynum were shit, so was Kobe.
This is why I hate per and "advanced stats". People can and will always spin stats to pad heir arguments. Wether it's hating to defending, these stats are used to sway a argument. Which is why it might be better to watch the actual games than read data.

thats certainly an option, but no ones seen him play, yet. reports are that hes 100%, and if so, he could damn well play every game this season. but again, those are just reports and nothing will be confirmed until the start of the season

the lakers arent done filling out their roster yet. SF is our weakest spot with C being our second weakest. if lakers were to give Marion all the SF minutes he can handle and sign okafor for a discount, the team can be in contention for a playoff spot.

2012 team with gasol and artest??
2013 was an all star dream team, nash, kobe, artest, gasol, bynum. The fact that kobe only got them the 7th seed is one of the biggest failures in nba history

You don't know shit. Gasol missed a bunch of games, Dwight missed some games and was clearly never 100%. Nash missed half the season. Blake missed half the season. Jordan Hill missed the whole season. Kobe even missed a handfull of games.

You're a clown who doesn't watch games and bandwagons wherever LeBron's jock sits lately.

Did you see how competitive they were last year in the first half of the season? They were losing games by 4-6 points. This year they have:

    SG: Kobe/Young
    PF: Randle/Kelly
    C: Hill/Sacre
    PG: Lin/Clarkson/Marshall/Nash
    SF: Henry/Johnson

Clearly you know nothing because Bynum was traded for Howard, Nash & Pau missed 30+ games each in the regular season, thus the horrible Playoff position, Dwight Howard coming off back surgery and 8 months of no basketball related activities, Steve Blake missing about 40 games, Artest tore his meniscus, Kobe tore his achilles after being forced to play 40+ mpg at point guard because Blake, Duhon, Morris were injured. We were forced to start Robert Sacre, Chris Duhon and Devin Ebanks at times...those guys are D-leaguers.

Dream team you were saying? Did you even watch a game? Artest was done already, Pau looked slow as hell and played on a bad knee, Howard got better at the 2nd half of the season but was still brutal and cost us games by missing Fts with teams intentionally fouling him.

Kobe had one of his more efficient seasons and carried us to the Playoffs.

I like Ryan Kelly a lot, he could develop into a very good player. Marshall also played great in D'Antoni's system and put up good numbers, Johnson had the best year of his career and the boy can bring it on D, Henry was balling and we started losing after he went down with a serious knee injury, Hill was very efficient but got limited minutes cause him and Pau didn't fit in that system

This team is so young outside of Kobe & Nash & has some potential if healthy.

Yeah he was HEALTHY, YOUNG, and was not coming off a HUGE INJURY.

Kobe will be CHUCKING to move up on the all time scoring list etc.

It's a great well rounded team.
One serviceable big man and one good shooter away from a top 4 in the West
i'm obv assuming that Randle is 16/8 player from the get go. Even if no, Hill can be a 18/10 guy with amazing defense

Opposed to saying Kobe "dragged" the Lakers into the postseason?

Sometimes advanced stats and data in general are needed for irrationality.

Kobe will do the unthinkable and score 101 points in a game next year, just watch.

No offense to the OP, but this post simply makes no sense.

The Lakers are now engaging year 19 of the famed "Kobe system". For those of you unfamiliar with this long process, these final stages involve eliminating all of the "dead weight" an maximizing the shot attempts for #24. It began with jettisoning Shaq way back in 2005, continued with Howard last year, and now, is finally complete with the departure of Gasol, who was proving to be a true problem with his recent ballhoggery (did you know he actually took more shots PER game than Kobe last year? What is this madness??)

By filling the team with rookies and journeymen, Kobe should easily be able to chuck 40-50 shots PER game, shattering all sorts of records just playing winning basketball. Why wouldn't you want the best player in the game taking all the shots?

Title #6 is coming for #24 and there is nothing you haters can do about it.

    Warmest regards,

artest was a year away from retirement in 2012

gasol was a shell of his former self since 2012

    nash didnt play in 2013

bynums knees were never the same after 2012 and was traded for that bum howard who was injured all season

i'd rather have had smush parker the last 2 years than steve nash
