Young McGrady was pretty good, even had a 1.9 blocks per game season.

It's a shame Kobe doesn't gamble like Wade and Bron. I guess he'll just have to be happy with his 6 times all defensive first team and 2 time all defensive 2nd team. How will he survive?

Anyone have the video of Lebron pinning someones shot in the NBA with 2 hands like MJ did Ron Mercer a while back? I can't think of who the guy was that Lebron did that to.

Wouldn't that be more impressive if he did it in limited minutes?

He should have played that first teamer D on Paul Pierce in the finals instead of guarding no jumper Rondo....KObe couldn't even slow down Ray Allen

In limited minutes you can go all out / gamble more on D than you can when you play like 40 mins. That's why T-Mac's D kinda fell off after his first 1-2 years in Orlando. Gotta save that energy for offense. 01-02 season 1.5 blks he did that in 40 min per game though

LOL @ this tool thinking that blocks are "gambling." If you have great instincts (which Kobe doesn't), there's virtually no risk involved.

No... it's easier to average higher percentages if your minutes are limited. For example, if you only shoot just one 3 in your career and make it, your career 3pt% would be 100%. If you had 5 blocks in one game, you'd average 5 blocks per game.

Kobe isnt the athletic freak Wade and Lebron are...He can do it in spurts but Kobe's body isnt able to consistently to that grind. If you wanna see the instincts just look at the beginning of this year. The difference is that Kobe isnt the overwhelming athlete that they are and I find it funny when people compare Kobe to other better athlete and never mention the difference. Kobe was never really a freak athlete but he maximized his athletic potential. Wade and Bron are freak athletes...

Yeah but he still did it over a span of 70+ games with ~30 minutes per game, not 1 game.
