Denzel, while a very good actor, is a bit overrated. He's falling into the Pacino niche of basically playing the same character over and over.

This is true IMO. He is one of my favorites though. He did do a different style of acting in 'Manchurian Candidate' than his normal stuff but they weren't extremely shocking performances. Don Cheadle is a better performer IMO and is underrated.

Now, Gary Oldman is a shocking performer and very underrated.

Also, I never hear any praise for Sean Penn's performance in 'The Assassination of Richard Nixon'. Unbelievable!
