it really amazes me how vastly overrated swingmen are. the fact that so many of these lists contain numerous swingmen like tmac, butler, pierce, vince, wade, joe johnson, etc, in one top 20 list just astonishes me. swingmen dont win u championships, they just sell jerseys.

we'll see. i was probably too hard on him when i said "memphis lol'd", obviously he did big things for that franchise... my point though was that he doesn't impact games like amare, and he was having a poor year before joining the lakers.

Yeah exactly, but he was no where near as effective as Garnett semi-injured this year.

I doubt Wade would make my top 10 list based on this past season, but you're entitled to your opinion.

StroShow, when making this list are we suppose to take projection into consideration? Or sole based on this past year alone.

You do know Roy was voted in by the coaches and gm's right? The guys that actually understand how to evaluate talent. Unlike you.

Roy is better than Ellis, Camby, Davis and Kaman.

I really dont care what people in this forum think of Roy, coaches, gm's and actual talent evaluators KNOW that Roy is better. Thats good enough for me.

Yes, Amare will put up better stats, impress you more, act all tough and dominant but Pau is a better player.
Don't get me wrong, I certainly do see flaws in Pau. But overall, he's a more valuable player than Amare although Amare may be a better individual.
    Agreed.

I don't think either player would ever win a championship as a number one option, and as a #2 I'd rather have a guy with a MUCH higher basketball IQ and who is a MUCH better passer (Pau) than a guy who can just score and jump out of the gym (Amare). Amare's the better individual player, but Pau fits in on a team better as a four man than amare could ever dream to.

Sorry, you're overrating Pierce way too much.

Carmelo And T-Mac are not better than Pierce, Dirk maybe, but not those two.

Care to explain why you feel T-Mac and Carmelo are better?

LMAO those same coaches and GM's that draft Kwame Brown #1 overall? The same ones who give Stephon Marbury 20 per?

well, ok. i guess if isiah thomas and kevin mchale say brandon roy is better than baron davis, that pretty much seals the deal.

LMAO. how dense are you? every analyst in basketball was saying davis should have got it over roy. every person at this board knows davis should have got it over roy. it is widely known that because of his past baron davis is unpopular in coaching/managing circles.

and yet despite all this, you maintain that bc Roy got the all-star nod over Baron, that it concretely makes him a better player.

This topic and everyone here has pwned you for life.
