When does Durant go back to the Thunder?
Thunder are super talented, but they aren't making the finals this year.
Seems like a good time to consider trading some of the young talent away to snag Durant for his last few years.

Durant can fit in anywhere because he's not ball dominant and the Thunder have the picks to make it happen. I like the idea.

would be a smart move cause he could join another stacked team but he could pretend to do it under the guise of going back to his home team.

I think the Thunder might make a move for Giannis. They need a 4 but havent really tried to fill that spot. More than any team they have the assets to make that deal.

Chemistry matters. Durant is more than a decade older than the Thunder starters. And he’s not a leader/mentor type. Theyre young and hungry, he’s old and coasting. He’s not gonna wanna go there and it wouldnt make sense for OKC anyway.

If Phoenix is willing to accept some jive based on Giddey and Hayward then sure, go for it, but they shouldn't offer any of their top 3 players.

The Thunder already have their "white hope" KD in Chet. Don't need another one. What they need is a Steven Adams type tough guy to body the paint.
Come to think of it Steven Adams was an original Thunder player. That would be the perfect acquisition.

Lol that's exactly what Lebron did.
And to save you some time, yes, the Cavs were not a top seed in the East when he went back, but they got Kyrie and had the Wiggins pick to trade for Kevin Love to form another superteam for Bran.
With OKC it's more tricky as well, he'd need to be traded there for assets, he can't sign as a FA like Bran did with Kyrie still under his rookie contract at the time as well. OKC would have to give up assets.
OKC would be nasty defensively with KD and Chet in the front court with SGA on the perimeter as well. Would be a great fit on both ends. Idk if OKC would have enough to make that trade happen, I don't think Phoenix would ever do that, even if KD asked to be traded there.

Im not sure SGA would even want it.
At this point the writing on the wall seems pretty clear with KD.
Wherever he goes, no success is had. He clogs the team up and it ends in a lackluster and quick playout outing.
SGA must love what they have going currently. Im sure he wants to keep that the way it is, and not lose his spot for KDs thing.
