KCP ends up being that final missing piece of the championship puzzle for Denver, and it was Lebron who taught him how to be that guy in the first place. Lebron won a chip with a much less experienced KCP. And the Lakers were too stupid to then value the continuity.

And that would eventually lead directly to Denver winning a chip as well, and may go back to back.

Im sorry, but ANY Denver championship counts as a ring for Lebron. PERIOD. Last year, and potentially this year. Lebron is going for his sixth ring right now, with either LAL or Denver.

It counts for LeBron if either team wins.

Correction: LeGM traded KCP/Kuzma/Harrell to the Wizards for Westbrook. Then Denver signed KCP as a free agent.

By PELINKA trading KCP, it enabled KCP to ultimately end up in Denver. That's something Pelinka should have had the foresight to think about. Denver was a rising challenger in the conference. The Lakers just beat them in a conference finals. If Pelinka extends KCP, this never happens. But Pelinka and AD huddling together in their little war room and deciding to trade him for Westbrook? That sealed the Lakers' fate.

The original deal Pelinka had agreed to was Kuzma/Harrell and a 1st for Buddy Hield. Kcp was going to stay a Laker.

However, LeBron/AD got together and forced Pelkinka to trade for Westbrick with 2yrs remaining ($47mill and $49mill). The worst contract in NBA history alongside John Wall. We gave up a 1st to get the guy (another 1st to get rid of him) because LeBron thought it was the best deal.

Another mistake was choosing the scrub THT instead of Caruso because THT's agent was LeBron's buddy.

Instead, we sent off KCP and Caruso, our proven best perimeter defenders, and 2 first-round picks for Westbrick. We could have still gotten Reaves as the 7th man since he was undrafted. We also signed the scrub Kendrick Nunn to full mle that same year to please LeBron.

This would be our team core right now if LeBron was either a good judge of talent or didn't meddle:

KCP/Hield
Caruso/Reaves

We would still have an extra first-round pick to package with Hield/Reaves for Dejounte Murray. And Denver wouldn't have KCP.

Imagine AD, Bron, Rui, KCP, and Murray starting with Caruso off the bench. All was possible (Caruso was even willing to take a paycut to stay).
