I'll tell you who's stupid. The players on that Athletic poll that voted Gobert the most overrated player in the league. But then it's not really a surprise that a bunch of dumbass 21 year old's don't appreciate great defensive players in the modern NBA.

kinda crazy but not too crazy

gives an accentuation on the era difference about how it’s considerably easier to clock in 30 point games, also shows that KG was a force without being a go to scorer. RealGM guys placing him at top 10 of all time gets me to buck back on KG but if you are being real and looking at his skill set….damn. He’s up there.

KG has played in 47 Playoff games with Minny and 143 total. And 9 total 30 point games, that's kind of low however you spin it.

Gobert is a 30 year old who has had a history of being played off the court by smaller teams in the playoffs, he had a great regular season but he’s always had great dpoy regular seasons. Tbf, he’s never had guys like ant and mcdaniels to have his back out there, his best defensive help in Utah were Conley (who was actually pretty good when he was younger) and… Ingles?

Who is supposed to be making him guard spot up threes or give up defending the basket which is the entire premise of the “Played off the floor” reputation. Nurkic? Were they expected to go small? Nurkic has actually played more minutes than he did in the regular season.

I don’t think anyone would assume Nurkic would prevent Rudy from playing. Jokic is obviously gonna be on the floor next series.

They aren’t playing the kinda teams who would bench their bigs and play 5 out with wings to force the conflict.
