I hope this loss help and they finally realize they are playing for a ring. It barely showed in the last 4 games. They were lucky to have won three. The Nuggets in general play like it's February.
I feel like it's the coaching fault in this game along with Denver not being able to make their shots. The Lakers have been getting great looks with the LeBron and AD pick and roll. Jokic would hedge high, which would free up AD with the roll. They are taking Jokic mostly out of the paint. They should still switch AG on AD. Denver has had some good looks. They have been doubling Jokic almost every time he touches the ball, but he has been finding his teammates. They just haven't been knocking them down. Murray has been bad all series long offensively. But give some credit to the Lakers and their hard doubles against him when Jokic is out of the game.
In general, Denver has been lazy like you said to start off the halves. It's honestly amazing that they beat the Lakers three times in a row playing how they have been playing. But that's scary to me. LeBron and AD are playing out of this world and Denver been playing bad.
But if Murray playing this bad against AR and D'Lo, then Jaden McDaniels is going to be much harder.

Lakers are awfully coached, it makes them relatively easy to beat. But the fact that they've had this much trouble with the Lakers should really concern them for next round.

Oh yeah. I know sometimes Denver plays down to their competition. But if Murray ain't playing well against AR and D'Lo, Minny is going to be much tougher. They are bigger. They shouldn't struggle this much to score against the Lakers.

Not entirely on him and the Lakers were better in the last 7 (now 8) playoff games than their record showed. I was sure Denver won't sweep them with this performance and I said so well before this game. Effort is contagious and Jokic didn't show too much of that until the 4th. He is so great that he still can have a huge triple double playing this way but Denver won't win in the next round with this kind of effort. Against the Lakers they are probably too much in the driving seat to lose the series, but they have to fight harder. Going through the motions is not enough.

the defensive rotation from the Lakers was just god awful. They only won today because they have 2 players that can cover a large area in terms of help defense. Reaves has 0 concept on his assignment besides meeting a defender out on the perimeter. it's atrocious how an NBA player can have 0 critical thinking skills after a made basket to determine based on given opposing players skillset, what are our major holes and priority in order to not give up an uncontested shot.
you let Reaves play another 20 min in a game, and the Lakers are doomed to gas out, mentally then physically.
all the analyst are praising what Jokic is doing, simply because he doesn't run set plays, so all the zombies, coming from organized basketball believing that plays ought to be called out instead of playing straight up street ball just have their mind all twisted up from Jokic running circle around it.
meanwhile Lebron has been doing it all along, and they don't want to point it out, because it just means they were cuddled into the opportunity of playing basketball, and every potential assist given to them, results in a TO, instead of a missed shot.
because they only want to interact with the dead, instead of the living.

Theyre up 3-0 why would you judge them based on this effort?

This game does highlight Denver's one big problem this series. Jamal Murray. Not only does he have a dismal 44% TS for the series, he is also taking 23 shots per game, most on the team by far. He's been a one man wrecking crew for their offense, like Dlo squared.

His clutch shots are also a huge reason the series isn't tied 2-2.

Lol if he wasn't shooting like ass they wouldn't have needed any clutch shots.

Not exactly how it works. A lot of playoff games are just inevitably close between two teams with same talent level. Maybe Murray would've hit more shots and maybe mpj or kcp miss some more. It evens out.
