Re: (2) Nuggets vs. (7) Lakers First Round Playoff Series Thread
Lakers should just run the damn team back. Over-tinkering and outright blowing up these treams after the 2020 ring has caused more problems than fixed (westbrook trade destroyed them).
They just need to get one more quality big man to back up AD and they should be fine to make the playoffs again next year (assuming Bron/AD can be healthy).

surprised lakers made the playoffs -- with their weak ass roster.
Bron will leave to join Bronny in Milwaukee
Ham will leave and take Milwaukee's coaching job.
AD- will stay in his wheel chair.

The most egregious call of all didn't even show up on the stat sheet. That Jokic reversal where he got borderline tackled by AD.
Jokic had 0 FTs on the game. Lakers outshot them 27-9 at home. The league was doing EVERYTHING they could to make the Lakers win but Denver just wasn't having it and kept drilling shots from the field and of course in the clutch.

Murray stunk up the joint in general (injury didn't help) but he hit them when it mattered most, clutch gene like the GOAT MJ

I really don't see how any objective person can look at that disparity, and just like, not even have their head turned for a minute. Even if you think the numbers are legit based on eye test or whatever, surely you look at that and go "damn, that's pretty crazy, they should look into that".
Then again, I'm not about to trust someone who lets their phone battery get to 8%

There were a bunch. The LeBron travel where he took two steps, a jump, and then another two steps, only to have a bail out foul called on MPJ on marginal contact.
Another LeBron spin move on the left block, where he cleared out, did not get hit and got the call.
A Reaves fall away in the lane where he contorted his body back, with absolutely no contact.
The DLo play where he elbowed Murray in the face, with no call.
The Gordon missed dunk where he was shoved in the back while in the air (especially bad on these two where the foul is dangerous)
A Murray shot which was ruled not a continuation.
AD draped over the back of Joker is deemed “marginal” on replay???
In fairness, there were terrible calls and no calls the other way too. A LeBron drive where he was clearly fouled and got no call was especially bad. The refereeing looked almost random to me. No way for the players to adjust their game to the refs.
I don’t think anyone could show that the game was called consistently. It clearly was not. I remember more vividly the calls that went against Denver because I’m not objective. In other games with the Lakers, where I have no real interest, it seems obvious that the Lakers frequently get a highly favorable whistle.

God I'm tired of this dumb ass argument. Lakers were 3rd last in 3PA and allowed 3rd most 3PA this season.
Oh wow, a team that doesn't shoot that many 3s and has Bron & AD going at the rim has the highest FT differential? Shocking.

What’s amazing about this is the gap between first and second…..is literally over 2x the gap between 2nd and 11th.
Like in terms of statistical outliers……this is f ucking beyond insane. lmao.
amazing
