Cavs won 53 in 2017... Heat won 54 in 14'.. Lebron never won a lot of games except
a couple seasons when his stiff-arm received great spacing help (Mo & Ray Allen).
So the point of this thread is to show that reason the Lakers haven't won many games despite Lebron getting good numbers is because Lebron's good numbers never produced great records.. except a couple one-offs when his stiff received a notable spacer.. Yet people have this misperception that he used to achieve great records and now he's just "old".. But the reality is that he was never a great winner that achieved great records (1 sixty win season from 11-17')

bron played for along time and dominated the ball so of course he has stats, but I agree with op, he has never been a dominant winner and has had teams underperform to expectations many times.

And no athlete has lost more playoff games, either:

Not sure what either stat proves. He played in a lot of playoff games. Please note that Derek Fisher comes in second in both categories.
Also, the player with the highest winning percentage in the playoffs is Dennis Rodman. There’s your true goat.

That's a fair comment on the state of the NBA in general. A lot of people are putting up great numbers while playing less minutes that ever.
Going full-force every night in the regular season simply isn't a priority anymore. Particularly with teams/guys who have already won championships. Why go all out rather than conserve energy across the board for when it matters? It's definitely frustrating and makes the regular season less fun but it makes sense in the long run.

Four FMVPs, second most all time.
But sure, he never won a lot, right OP? Regular season doesn't matter much when it comes to GOATs like Lebron.

Kobe had 1 sixty win season with peak Shaq from 99-04, the reality is that he was never a great winner that achieved great records.

Playing hard in regular season builds chemistry, a great team and favorite status..
Otoh, slanking the regular season and waiting for playoffs creates weak chemistry, "underdog" status and fake "upsets" despite having talent that was initially favored (preseason favorite).
It's basically ignoring chemistry and trying to win with talent alone (more help).. Lebron's weak chemistry and talent-based approach is a knock on him compared to guys that learned to build great chemistry every year (thereby needing less talent).
So taking off the regular season is essentially sports fraud that fools the fan into overrating players that achieve these "upsets" despite having the most help in the league and simply tanking the regular season.. Guys get praised for mostly losing and having the eventual upset, than mostly winning and producing perennial favorites.. so today's fan rewards mostly losing and having the inevitable upset, rather than producing perennial favorites that mostly win
