    Default Are the Pelicans good?

I can't figure out how much I believe in the pelicans. They seem good, sometimes very good, but never really better than that.

What are some of the things they would need to go to the next level?

They are one of something like 6 western teams that could make the second round. Like the Clippers they are counting on stars with rough injury history. So "when healthy" granted for all teams they could beat Phoenix and Dallas. They won't beat Minnesota, Denver, OKC or the Clippers. Williamson has superstar potential but he gasses out too quickly still and his conditioning is not going to be fixed this season. Any series that goes long and the games are close is bound to be a problem. He currently averages 31 minutes. Superstars in the playoffs often have to give their team 40+. Not good.

It's unfair to hold it against a player because a random fan overrated him. Ingram is a good player and will be a borderline allstar his whole prime, good shot at making another 2 or 3 before he starts declining. He has the game to be a second option, there are a few areas where he should be better but no player is perfect. If Williamson could handle 40 minutes he would be enough.

    Of course theyre good.

Are they contenders? Probably not quite.

They could definitely win a series. Might could even mess around and win two if they get the right matchups.

Are they makin the finals? They havent looked look quite good enough for that to me when Ive watched them. It would be surprising, but not stunning.
