Default It would be easy to make an NBA competitor

The NBA is a company that is ripe for a competitor to swoop in and take a significant chunk of their market share.

There is A LOT of people who are simple not entertained by Adam Silver's NBA anymore. I bet a lot of people would watch a competitor that went back to basics. People say you could watch FIBA or college, but it's not really the same. College is a lower level and marred by one-and-done's and FIBA is not nearly good enough presentation.

If I wanted to make a competitor I would:

    1. Use FIBA rules

    2. Teams in tier-2 cities

    3. Relegation and promotion

    4. Every team must have at least 5 local players

    5. Every team has first dibs on local college players to sign

You want to make this league everything that the NBA isn't. A sport, not a spectacle. Local, not global. Fundamentals, not flash.

This is what the people want.

Don't invest more than 5 dollars into it. This is definitely not what people want.
