I dont think many people are saying he’s a stud right now on offense. I think the hype is more about the fact hes showing progress while still having a crazy ceiling due to his physical uniqueness. He looks like hes on track to become a force, but obviously hes still got a way to go.

Spurs have no real vets with winning experience aside from Cedi, Collins and McDermott. Rockets have a bunch of them, and FVV is still a good starter-level PG. Wemby doesn't have a real PG (no disrespect to Tre Jones but he's a bench warmer at best) and they tried to make Sochan a PG for half the season and played Wemby out of position the first 20 or whatever games as well. That's not a team that's trying to win games.

Sengun is on track to miss the POs for the 3rd year in a row after two 20-win seasons prior to this one. If this was Wemby in his 3rd year after all that hype and he had vets around him I'd be criticizing him too.

Unless you watch the Spurs consistently (nobody here does in this thread) you don't understand how poorly coached they were for the first 20 games and how bad the entire roster is around Wemby.

It's legit the worst defense I've ever seen when Wemby isn't out there and the decisions they make on offense make you want to pull hair out of your skull.

Nobody in the league could turn this group into a playoff team. Jokic would make them a much better offense but the defense would be so bad still that you would lose a lot of games.

The defense is horrible and they got some of the worst volume 3-Point shooters around him lol. I don't think even Jokic could do anything with that team. Not enough vets on that squad and there's no depth. I haven't watched every game but I've seen my fair share throughout the season. It's a comedy of errors.
