Exclamation Check out this freakish freshman - 6'6" with a 7'6.5" wingspan (Jojo Tugler)

One of the craziest wingspans that I've come across. He's the same height as Kawhi Leonard but has the wingspan of Deandre Jordan. Actually half an inch longer if you believe this Houston Chronicle article from about a month ago:

Of course, it doesn't hurt that Tugler has a 7-foot-6½ wingspan. “Some of it is just having a gift,” Flores said.

I don't know if he'll make the NBA but he's one of the best defenders on a historically strong college defense. His block and steal rates as a freshman are super impressive and comparable to some notable NBA bigs:

I like his potential , and so many NBA teams bank on offense this guy will find a team to play on.

There's no official measurement but here are some notable guys around his height with disproportionate standing reaches. None of them have his incredulous wingspan, so we can assume he's at worst in the same ballpark. A safe estimate would be anywhere between 8'11" and 9'3".

I believe the average center has historically had an average standing reach of 9'1". He's a 6'6" barefoot guy with the reach and span of a center, and the mobility of a switchable forward. Definitely a unique physical specimen and defensive prospect to watch.

    - OG Anunoby 6'6.25" barefoot height; 8'11.5" standing reach
    - Justin Jackson 6'5.75" barefoot height; 8'11" standing reach
    - Nigel Hayes 6'6.25" barefoot height; 8'11.5" standing reach
    - Cliff Alexander 6'7.25" barefoot height; 9'1.5" standing reach
    - Montrezl Harrell 6'7" barefoot height; 9'1" standing reach
    - Kenneth Faried 6'6" barefoot height; 9'0" standing reach
    - Jeff Adrien 6'5.25" barefoot height; 8'11.5" standing reach
    - Othello Hunter 6'6.5" barefoot height; 9'1.5" standing reach
    - Chris Richard 6'7" barefoot height; 9'2.5" standing reach
    - Julian Wright 6'6.5" barefoot height; 9'0" standing reach
    - Mario Boggan 6'5" barefoot height; 8'11" standing reach
    - Stephane Lasme 6'5" barefoot height; 8'11" standing reach
    - Ike Diogu 6'6.5" barefoot height; 9'1" standing reach
    - Sean Banks 6'5.75" barefoot height; 9'0" standing reach
    - Jason Maxiell 6'5" barefoot height; 8'11" standing reach
    - Arthur Johnson 6'7" barefoot height; 9'1" standing reach

Recently saw a video showing Ben Wallace struggling to palm the ball I wonder if what would be more helpful in basketball, bigger hands or a longer wingspan?

might depend. Wing span for Wallace. MJ and Dr. J made good use of large hands
