No we will. We won't see anyone exactly like him but he's laid out a blueprint to longevity for future great players to follow. Some supremely talented guy will and we will talk about that guy the way we talk about James.

I don't think we're seeing 40k points ever again. Especially since it seems players get injured more now.

Certainly won't be easy but they have made the defensive rules extremely weak. If James was starting his career right now he might just end it with 50k. If Doncic ever takes diet and conditioning seriously he could do it and we're bound to see more major talents. It will be interesting to see what Wembanyama does when the Spurs start trying to win games.

LeBron would have to have a career scoring average of 33.9 PPG to have 50k right now. The highest active player is Luka at 28.5 PPG.

That's the equivalent of about 17 ppg in 2003.

If you study history, league average ppg usually goes up then back down and vice versa.
Defenses will eventually catch up, and offenses will then have to adjust.

Ppl said that about Brady in the NFL and now Mahomes is on pace to pass him by his mid-30s

One thing is for sure, Kobe didn't reach Bron's longevity.

Cool, and the younger generation will stan someone else (likely Wemby or whoever else comes along) and say that Bran was overrated and not that good. You can't stop time.
I could care less about Bran's longevity if it doesn't result in any wins. This Laker season has been extremely underwhelming, considering that our top guys have been healthy for almost the entire season. There's no excuses this time since there's no Westbrick and AD's played like 105 out of his last 112 games. Bran can go back to Cleveland and have his retirement tour or whatever, I wanna see my team win.
