Will Hardy has been anything but good this season, so why isn't anyone pointing this out?

The last time Andy Bailey updated his “Huge Nerd Index,” a composite of all-in metrics thusly nicknamed by Tim MacMahon due to Bailey’s size and geekery, Collin Sexton came in at 39th in the league, comfortably Utah’s second best player. At some point we need to talk about how much of Sexton’s stellar season is real. He’s shooting 50% on drives and also drawing fouls on 11% of his paint forays, while also making 40% of his threes. If we really believe Sexton is somewhere around top-40 level, that is kind of a big deal.
the bigger deal is the coach doesn't think he's very good!

Shams Charania: The Utah Jazz are signing guard Taevion Kinsey to a 10-day contract out of their NBA G League affiliate Salt Lake City Stars, his agent Scott Nichols tells @TheAthletic @Stadium. Kinsey has averaged 14.8 points in last 10 games for Stars and has shot 46.8% from 3 for the season.

they both suck. Where would COTM have been without Gobert? How's Atlanta doing? Hardy has been good when the right players were on the floor as well. Unfortunately if the wrong players are healthy he'll have them on the floor instead

Collins could be good for someone. Bug contract though. Can't imagine The Bum ever had value and it's at an all-time low now so good luck with that shit!

Yet, for all of his faults, those flashes give people hope. We haven't seen flashes from Hendricks or Sensabaugh yet, so at least George has that going for him. If he can somehow manage to be more consistent, especially as a shooter (39% from the floor, 35% from three), then who knows? Maybe George could truly ascend to the next level.
Sensabaugh has been good in every game he has played recently. Hendricks really excites me. No flashes? George looks like he'll be good but another ball dominate guard doesn't get me that excited sorry. He's 3rd for me

Lofton not yet 22. Balling in Gleague. Pretty good on the boards. Good passer with some rim protection for undersized 4

Walker Kessler’s struggles have been well documented this season. After an impressive rookie campaign, Kessler has failed to replicate his two-way impact this season. While he is still young and has plenty of time to develop, it's fair to question whether his role in future competitive Jazz teams is as large as it originally seemed.
wouldn't be surprised if they drafted a center and he's gone in the not too distant future. The coach doesn't like him

This season, Jordan Clarkson has neither scored the basketball efficiently nor made an impact defensively. As a matter of fact, given his usage and minutes, he ranks as one of the worst players in the NBA in both departments. While he has likely regressed some as a player, much of this is likely attributed to apathy related to playing on another losing team at his age. Once his cheaper contract kicks in next season, expect buyers to come knocking on Utah’s door.
He and his biggest fan are the main reason they are a losing team

The evolution of the NBA has shifted towards his exact playing style, more 3-pointers, and more athleticism. Leans right into the hand of the good 3-point shooting, high flying, Keyonte George.
That's the main reason. Another ball dominate guard doesn't excite me as much as Hendricks and Sensabaugh

Kira Lewis: Acquired at the 2024 trade deadline, Lewis is completing the final year of his rookie contract, at $5.7 million. He has barely played with the Jazz since the trade, and with a $7.9 million qualifying offer due this summer, the question could be asked - why did the Jazz trade for him? He has no value at this point.
    contracts have to match?

Jordan Clarkson: It was curious when Clarkson received an extension from the Jazz last summer, including $23.4 million for the 2023-24 season. He was 31, didn't fit their timeline, and though his offense was valuable, he gave up as much, if not more, on the defensive end. The Jazz might have to attach an asset to move him down the road, should his decline continue. This makes his deal, even with reduced salaries in 2024-25 and 2025-26, a bad one for the Utah Jazz.
    you think?

Kevin Knox: Another player acquired at the trade deadline, Knox was waived almost immediately and hasn't caught on with another NBA team since. A waste of $2.1 million any way you look at it.
    salary slot for prospect

Kris Dunn: As a reserve guard and fill-in starter, Dunn has value as a defender and floor leader. His offensive limitations may never be resolved, but he'll stick in the NBA as long as he keeps his defensive chops. On a $2.5 million deal for this season only, he is a great value and will likely get a raise if he sticks around next year.
hopefully he'll be elsewhere. Somewhere he can be appreciated

Keyonte George: The best of the 3 Jazz rookies, Keyonte has shown enough potential since the summer league to earn minutes and even the starting point guard spot this year. While his shooting was 34% in his first stint as a starter (16 games in November and December), he's at a more respectable 43% this time around, with 16.7 points and 5.4 assists over his last 10 starts. Getting a point guard of the future with a Top 5 pick is one thing. But 16th overall and with a $3.88 million salary? Priceless.
he's played the most of their rookies and the coach likes him the most. Not convinced he's the best
