I think Porzingis would have made it but he's missed 14 games. I'm not really going to argue that White is better than whoever, I just hope he makes it.

Timberwolves' All-Star selections show that the NBA doesn't value defense (msn.com)

the Wolves' rise to the top of the West has been driven by their defense, which is No. 1 in defensive rating. They hold opponents to the fewest points in the NBA, the worst shooting percentage on two-pointers and give up the fewest rebounds.

All those are primarily due to the efforts of center Rudy Gobert, the three-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year. He's averaging 13.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks while maintaining a miniscule defensive rating of 104 points per 100 possessions. Not only is Gobert the anchor of the Wolves defense, he's also its designer. Gobert was inspired to rework Minnesota's defensive schemes during a 64-hour darkness retreat.

Reserves are voted on by the coaches, who are about the only group of people that actually does care about defense. Doesn’t mean they rank every defensive specialist At the top of the league. I wouldn’t mind seeing the voting though. I wonder who is next in the front court. Sabonis?

I would have picked Barnes over Banchero and I assume Porzingiz didn't play enough games to qualify

Pingis tingus missed manyy games and is playing with a cushion surrounded by stars....randle putting up monster numbers better than pingus tingus and 2nd leading star for his team...pingus is like a role player

I guess thats fair about Big Pingis missing a bunch of games, his minutes are also on the low side when he does play.

Just feels like Randle is a stretch, he’s kinda just ass. Guess the East is just thin on frontcourt stars.

No De'Aron Fox or Sabonis is quite the choice.

Sabonis is averaging a near triple double (20/13/8), is 7th on the MVP ladder, and leading the Kings to one of the top records in the West and still wasn't named an all-star??? That's one of the biggest snubs ever
