Killers of the Flower Moon
I don't rank it very high on the Scorsese list.
It has all the elements... The story is interesting, great acting, beautifully shot, historically accurate, everything is there.
I think the ending is just dull. Very anti-climatic... I spend 3 hours watching this movie... and it kept my interest the whole way through... but then the ending just falls flat in that final half hour.
Imagine having great sex for 3+ hours but you didn't nut... That's what Killers of the Flower Moon is.
I unfortunately have to report that the Irishman is better. Slightly better.
The Irishman is still a solid movie... many disagree, so if you didn't like the Irishman, I wouldn't go into this movie with high expectations.
Scorsese Films Since 1986.... from best to worst
1. The Departed
2. Goodfellas
3. Gangs of New York
4. Wolf of Wall Street
5. Casino
6. Shutter Island
7. The Irishman
8. Killers of the Flower Moon
9. The Color of Money
10. The Aviator
11. Cape Fear

The amount of people that complained about De Niro beating people up at 78 years of age or whatever was telling. Not so much about the movie. But the intentions and attention spans of the viewers. Movie was alright, kinda long but whatever.

Some of the scenes just looked weird. He was too old and they were doing weird CGI or something to make him younger and it didn’t look right. It wasn’t enough to ruin the entire movie but some of those scenes were legit bad.

Hong Kong is sort of it's own thing...along with Taiwan and proper Chinese films.
I liked Killers of the Flower Moon I didn't love it. It had a number of narrative issues due to casting and it felt like the victims and killers were all underwritten and just throwaway.
1. Goodfellas
2. Silence
3. Gangs of New York
4. Raging Bull
5. Hugo
6. The Wolf of Wall Street
7. Taxi Driver
8. Casino
9. Cape Fear
10. The Departed
11. The Irishman
12. Mean Streets
13. After Hours
14. The King of Comedy
15. Killers of the Flower Moon
16. Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
17, Shutter Island
18, The Age of Innocence
19. The Aviator
20. Bringing out the Dead

After Hours never gets discussed, by far his most underrated film.

No love for The Color of Money? Very symbolic in that Paul Newman was on his way out and Tom Cruise was just getting started... instead of acting being the craft, it's about playing pool/ hustling. A master & apprentice type of film. Paul Newman actually won an oscar for Best Actor in it. Not to mention it's a sequel to the Hustler.

Yeah we've kinda like collectively ignored the Yuppie Nightmare Movies because its not really politically correct to see the poors as those that are out to get ya.
