Pelicans do have a very high ceiling but not if Zion is injured.

"Minnesnowta" as you call them are not going far and that was the point of the thread. Would laugh if the Pelicans got in after all and both teams lost in the first round. This thread was made at peak Minny hype.

I get that Zion got injured but with AD and LeBron not having good games it’s a game they should have won. Hopefully Zion is ok I think they will beat Kings/Warriors if he is. And Zion is a pretty serious mismatch for the skinny ass OKC frontcourt

They had no chance once this happened.

no qiestion. Even if Towns were 100%, Minny has zero chance in a 7-game series versus Denver, Dallas, Boston.

Having to rely on captain unreliable sounds like a dumb strategy.

Using this as some gotcha moment also looks pretty dumb.

The guy specifically mentioned the Pelicans beating good teams even while missing key players and then went on to say they are a greater threat than the Wolves, but only if nobody is injured.

    The thread is kinda redundant.

Did you expect Zion to be healthy right now?

wolves look like 2nd biggest threat in the west right now. I thought phx had a decent chance vs them and now they might blow up their team. edwards is likely frontrunner for best sg in league he's made the leap the team is deep and unbelievable on defense. gobert really proved himself this series

The 'gotcha' isn't about the Pelicans losing. It's about Minnesota not losing.

You're still not coming to terms with his proneness?

Thats a completely different discussion (yes, I did btw) than acting like he was proven wrong now.

You now disagree with his stipulation, not his statement if stipulation holds up.

So you coming in here after a Timberwolves series win doesnt make any sense.

Herb Jones and Ingram have missed time as well (and missed significant time last year). Zion has missed games due to rest and missed quite a lot of last year as well.

They're beating good teams comfortably while missing key players. Hawkins and Daniels have gotten reps as a result and Hawkins looks like a draft steal. When more of their starters return, they will now have an elite bench.

Barring an injury disaster (a significant injury to Ingram, Zion or CJ) I think they will be scarier than the Wolves in the playoffs.
Ain't no coming back from this one
