Question Should Pop move over and let a serious coach take over the Spurs?

Popovich seems pretty preoccupied with being a politician and a comedian these days. Doesnt really seem to take coaching all that seriously.

Spurs are in a rebuild and have a guy who could be a generational player. There are tons of coaches out there who would kill for the chance to grind with this squad going forward. Does it really make sense to keep a self important douchebag who’s on cruise control in charge just because he won some chips with Timmy and the boys?

Guy should take a consulting role with the team if he’s not ready to retire. Let someone serious take over coaching duties.

Yes. He was in his prime as a coach 20 years ago.

Just like Belichick in the NFL, it's time for this great coach to step on down.

LOL at Pop not being a serious coach. This is a young team that has to go through its growing pains.

You mean someone like LeCoach who can also function in a player/coach capacity given his longevity and health?

Probably trolling, but I actually agree.

I haven't been able to see any kind of structure or identity in the Spurs post Kawhi/LMA experiment.

It's just been bad teams with random semi-talented young players, but they don't seem to have any identity like back in the day.

This team now seems poorly constructed and players having way more freedom to chuck and dribble than they used to.
