westbrook will barely be remembered at all. he'll be alex english, where if you were around you remember him well but ultimately will be forgotten in time.
20-25 years from now people will look back on past MVP winners and be like who the fukk was russell westbrook. and at best you may get answers like "he went to the finals with KD one time..."
guy is one of the most overrated players in history.
I believe Carmelo will be more like Alex English pretty soon, just kinda forgotten.
Westbrook will be remembered a bit more because of his controversial play style.

Well he won't be forgotten because he'll forever be tied to Durant and Harden. But he will be remembered as one of the guys who didn't belong on the top 75 list. When someone is a fan of Tracy McGrady or Alex English or Dan Issell they'll point to Russ as one of the guys who stole a spot.

He'll likely finish top 5 in assists, top 25 in scoring and will be close to top 10 in steals as well. He could end up with 28k points, close to 10k rebounds and 10k+ assists for his career man. There's no argument for T-Mac above Russ all-time anyway. Russ made more All-Star & All-NBA teams, won MVP and has as many scoring titles as T-Mac while also leading the league in assists 3x. Peak for peak you could argue T-Mac's '03 season due to the era he was in, but '17 Russ is right there as well.

His eras Charles Barkley, talented, controversial and in the argument for best player in his era to never win the big one.
