Acting like his averages meant anything after one game was dumb. Acting like he sucks because he had one bad game is also dumb. Some of us will never learn.

Most definitely, but OP ducking his own thread after this performance and after he was calling others cowards is... hilarious but on point.

Jokic did not merit the MVP last year and he likely won't deserve it this year. Historically the MVP is the top scorer (or near the top). There's been I believe only one exception in the last 20 years or so (Nash). Jokic was fortunate in some sense that Murray was injured for a year and a half- because it allowed him to win the MVP award twice because his stats were inflated to account for Murray being gone. As soon as Murray returned, Jokic was not even in the top 15 in scoring. Like I mentioned, there's only been one exception to the scoring rule for MVPs - so the odds are against it.

You are right about the hype or support behind Jokic. All of suburban America is rooting for him. That alone won't bend the odds in his favor.

He’s the best player in the game and everyone knows it. So that kinda clears a path to the award for him if he has a season up to his usual standards and nobody else clearly surpasses him.

But we’re sorry you’re hurting so badly inside.

    bdonovan is so mad

Over the last 3 season Jokic has averaged 30 ppg IN THE PLAYOFFS with elite efficiency but lets pretend he is just a product of hype. Cool story bro.
