I bet the Lakers decided that very moment he wasn’t a part of their long-term plans. If he had multiple run ins with Phil for wanting to shoot threes. That obviously isn’t the way to go about it(and Blake almost seems to be under orders to prevent it) but absolutely nobody would begrudge him today. Amazing how fast things changed.

lol embarrassing. The funniest part is cuz it's his own teammate he could have just knocked him over or something, if he really wanted to troll. Get that travel.

He got benched taking a three and after the game said “I guess the message is don’t take threes” and said “Imma take another one”.

Mike Brown was the coach at that time being openly disrespected.

    The three in question

I love how baffled the announcers are. Shows how much the game changed because bigs taking 3s was still taboo at that time. Announcers would never react like that today.

this is more of a Lakers franchise problem more than anything else, they don't focus on big man's vertical ability/agility when it comes to their training. even when they had a prime Shaq, the focuses was to out muscle others instead of being efficient with your skills and natural ability.

a lot of that attributes to them considering where big man plays starting at the restricted area instead of the painted area. this also exposes how bad they are at teaching their guards to box out their assignment when it comes to rebounding.
