Derrick Rose is finished they said...
13 points in 14 minutes played on 75 percent shooting. Looks like he hasn't missed a step.

Letting him showcase himself for other teams once he gets cut.

We’ll know when Rose has finished because the evidence will be on OP’s lips.

Sure hasn't lost a step. He'll be in the MVP talks.

Look whos talking, the Leslurp army commander.
idgaf its preseason. NBA teams are playing each other, they are not playing against women. Nobody says Rose will be in the MVP conversation, but sitting him down for half of the season and the whole playoffs was a travesty. Hes still around his 2022 level, which was Knicks' best player in the postseason.
From these highlights you can see he still can hoop. Hes shifty and nimble as ever, and that floater is unstoppable. Thats what happens when you work hard to keep your body in shape and keep perfecting your craft.

He has a chance to attract another team's attention with Morant suspension but once Morant returns it's tough to see how he gets minutes. He's looking like their 4th-best guard at best. If he's lucky Phoenix or some team lacking depth is willing to give a second round pick for him.

You cant be serious. Their guard depth is Mulder, Gilyarth, Harrison.. all bums. Rose is literally Ja's substitute. He won't play at the 2.
Anyway no chance Grizzlies dump him. Hes got too much credit and respect in the league for that. Hes there to mentor Ja anyway. I expect him to play about 15 minutes per game when everyone is fit. He knows he still got it.

he'd be better off on Phoenix. they need a PG and he'd get significant minutes, but MEM would have to cut him.

If he is better than ali of those guys he's still fourth. Morant, Bane, and Smart are the top 3. So how is my statement off? A team's 4th best guard gets some minutes but it's not going to be consistent. And as for being a mentor to Morant Rose himself has said that he's not there to babysit. If Morant doesn't realize he can't do any more gun videos and other such stupid shit what is Rose going to do about it, aside from try to take his minutes?
