2013 heat are my favorite team outside of the raptors


that team was too much fun to root for

looking back the spurs that year had duncan who was still their best player and the best bigman at 37, ginobili who balled the next year redeeming himself and helped the spurs win a ring and avenge their loss, they had tony parker who was great in the finals and even had a game-winning shot.


they also had danny green was literally setting all-time nba finals 3-pointers made, and they had patty mills and other great role-players like diaw



this heat team will always be pop's only finals loss with a perfect 5/5 record every other time they made it out of the west

people tried to discredit the heat and say they were stacked and the spurs were old but that argument doesnt fly when the spurs destroyed the league the next year including the heat with the same exact roster


meanwhile the heat fell apart with dwade's knees giving out - looks like the "old" team had more gas in the tank


IMO the spurs had the perfect mix of young players and veterans with kawhi green and mills stepping up and veterans like diaw



tmac was actually on that 2013 spurs roster too
