Default The Miami Heat of summer 2000

The Miami Heat traded for Eddie Jones and Brian Grant in the 2000 off-season, and they were tipped as one of the favorites to win it all before Alonzo Mourning was diagnosed with kidney disease. What if he was able to play that season healthy? Would the Heat reach finally reach the finals with that core? My guess is yes, the East was quite weak that year, with all the ECS and ECF going to seven games.

P.D. I know that Zo played in the postseason when they got swept 3-0 by the Hornets, but they hadn't had enough time to develop the proper team chemistry to contend.

Those Heat teams always looked good on paper but constantly underperform when playoff time comes around. Im not sure if having Eddie Jones and Brian Grant would change that.

Kawhi Leonard might put up prime Kobe stats against those Heat
