Am I the only one thinking the Lakers won't be elite? Not guaranteeing they don't make the playoffs but the James/Davis do is only going to decline going forward. Can't see them challenging Nuggets or Suns.

I don't see the James/Davis duo being able it to make it through a season and deep playoff run healthy. It's gonna be something like AD gets hurt in December, so Lebron has to carry the load on his near 39 year old legs. Then AD will come back for a month or so, then Lebron will have some issue in February ( groin tear, sprained ankle) or something else requiring load management, so AD then has to carry the load and....you get the idea. The upper elites of the West will be too far ahead in the standings by March so the Lakers will be fighting for one of the lower seeds again. I'm just waiting for the bitching to start about AD's contract when he misses 25-30 games.

The story pretty much writes itself at this point.
