Default OKC is the Team to Watch

I love team basketball. It's magic to me to see a team get the most possible out of the 5 guys on the court. The 2014 Spurs are my favorite team ever. Denver was my team to watch since the Bubble.

I'm telling you, hop on the OKC train NOW. They have the magic of playing multiple guys who just see the game better. I've been on a sailing yacht in Greece for two weeks without internet, so I just saw that they're bringing in Vasilije Micic from Serbia. This tells me that THEY think it is time. I would not be surprised if they win 55 games this year. They're still too young to be a title favorite...for now.

Feel free to bump this if I am hilariously off base in a few months.

Agreed. OKC being the next big thing is as good a bet as any.

I'm not sure what to make of the team just yet, but I'd love to see them be a contender.

Not enough defense, but sure, should be a winning team for the next 6 years minimum unless they really make terrible moves with their cap.

I've heard someone before saying they actually finished 'somewhere 4th-5th seed this year' in the 2023 playoffs. Is it true?

If he has zion-like impact on the floor, then he will be a blessing to his team.

I don't see how it is possible for him to be a full bust, unless via injury. His coordination and IQ are just too high for a player his size. Even if his shot and 1-on-1 scoring progresses 0, he will still be a positive contributor off of defense and ball movement. Javale McGee has been a contributor for a champion.

For those that don't know, Micic plays a bit like Harden. Big lead guard with a great first step/ability to break down defender with the dribble. Average pure shooter, but comparatively really good off the dribble. Elite passing. Average defense. I'm envisioning a lot of ways he could be used, because he can easily fit alongside a playmaking guard, or run a bunch or PnR himself.

OKC is going to play 5 guys who can pass and shoot at all times, and RUN.

Wouldn't surprised me at all if OKC ended up 4th-5th seed this year.

For the low IQ idiots who don't understand what that means, it refers to the upcoming season, and not a retroactive prediction about last season.

Given their multiple draft picks in the next few years, they have lots of upcoming young guns at their disposal.

This could be the year Orlando breaks out.
