Question Is Bradley Beal going to solve the suns defensive woes?

Shit their defense looking worse than Swiss cheese after this trade

They're just gonna bank on outgunning everyone, seems like the Kd team plan ever since he went to the Warriors.....

Warriors had defense and were younger. Beal is literally targeted by defenses

Honestly dont get why Vogel wanted the job.

This lineup is GUARANTEED to underachieve.

They wont be bad outright obviously, but relative to expectations they are an EASY failure to peg.

I don't see how their defense got worse from this trade. Tbh arguably it's an improvement.

CP3 vs Beal is pretty much a wash defensively at this point with how far CP3 fell off. CP3 still had sneaky hands, but his speed is completely gone and he gets so gassed and is a liability towards the end of games.

Jordan Goodwin >>>> Landry Shamet defensively, and is younger entering his 3rd year in the NBA with potential to keep improving.

Defense is much cheaper than offense. The current champions best defensive players KCP and Brown are their lowest paid. Hustlers and goons get paid the least. They're like the street soldiers.

I'm interested to see how Beal does for the team. I don't think it's nearly as bad as some of you are acting like it is. Suns should be contenders next year for sure.

I just don't think he adds much of anything for them. His value is generated by his ability to create shots on and off the ball consistently. They already have guys who are better than him at that. He'll fit in great I assume, but how much more efficient can their offense get? I would have thought there was a cleaner deal out there for both teams. The Suns didn't give up much, so I don't blame their front office for taking it. Beal's list of acceptable destinations must have been small.

They need depth. I believe Beal makes it easy for them to load manage KD. There are going to be games where KD doesn't play and it's good to slot in a 25ppg

he adds a lot of flexibility, like p34deuce already said, they can load manage KD throughout the season, but they can also use Beal to maintain a 2 star lineup at all times by staggering minutes between Book-KD or Beal-KD, etc. that's going to be huge for the playoffs since Book and KD played absurd amounts of minutes this past post-season.

Vogel should be used to coaching epically underachieving teams by now.

Suns have never cared for defense the last two decades. I don't imagine that type of culture is going to change anytime soon.
