Re: Kobe Bryant vs. Stephen Curry Finals stats
dwade literally blew his knee in 2014 and the spurs were on fire. the spurs shot the heat out of the games by the first quarter. "stat-padding"
dwade admit that he was done - his knees were already shot by 2012 against the thunder but the GOAT that he is, he fought through and put on a star performance - by 2014 his body was done:
2015 we dont even need to say anything - lebron had a 4 of the 11 finals MVP votes on the losing team:

His defense on Lebron is often brought up to justify it but that's a bit far-fetched too. He defended Lebron fairly well but Lebron just shot extraordinarily poorly that entire playoffs. In fact Lebron shot 29.4% outside of 3 feet for that entire postseason. And probably another indication that Lebron's struggles had little to do with Igoudala is that in 2016, 2017 and 2018 Lebron had no trouble scoring on Iggy.
Iggy winning the 2015 Finals MVP is pretty puzzling. And the more I look at it the less sense it makes for him to win it over Curry.
If you watched the series live, you would understand why he got it. You could make a case for Steph, but I remember at the time people not being surprised at Iggy winning it. Warriors were down 1-2 in the series and it wasn't until they put Iggy in the starting lineup that they finally started to win games, he was the x-factor that changed the series, he was also arguably their best player in game 4 and game 6.
Curry had only one great game in game 5, rest of the series he was getting locked up by Dellavedova

Re: Kobe Bryant vs. Stephen Curry Finals stats
The 2015 FMVP discussion has literally become the biggest revisionist history of any topic on this board. All I hear about now is how Curry was robbed, and that Iggy winning was an outrage. At the time, this is not what people believed at all. Look at any discussion going on during/after the Finals, the majority of people believed that if someone from the Warriors deserved to win it, it was Iggy, not Curry.

Anyways, dude ended up having a big meltdown after many people called him out for the suspect voting and he abandoned the project.

Curry still averaged 10 more ppg than Igoudala, more apg and faced the brunt of the opposing defense. There is no way Iggy fitting well or playing good defense can make up such a massive difference in offensive contribution.

the public bought into the "He shut Lebron down hype...". Lebron's jumper was just off that entire postseason. He shot 47.7 %TS in the finals but he shot 49.2 %TS in the first three rounds before that.
