Default Michael Jordan played with Larry Hughes, Jerry Stackhouse.

And they missed the playoffs in 2003. A young LeBron played with Larry Hughes and they made it into the NBA Finals in 2007.

So? Wizards MJ is not the reason why he's regarded as the greatest ever. James missed the playoffs last year. Does that mean Iverson had a better career because he made the Finals once? These topics are always stupid.

I am just mocking those Kobetards and Currytards who started some useless threads in the last 48 hours.

I was told Larry Hughes was Scottie Pippen level, and naturally that would make Stackhouse above Pippen as he was a better player than Hughes.

Which begs the question - why couldn't Jordan win with two Scottie Pippen level guys next to him? Also played with Oakley, Lue and Scott that year... These are NBA legends FFS.

Prime Jordan would never have "the worst Finals team ever" with an all-star center teammate and this acquisition:

    05' HUGHES..... 21.6 PER.. 4.3 BPM.. 0.157 WS/48.. 3.7 VORP... 22/6/5.. 1st Team All-D
    90' PIPPEN....... 16.3 PER.. 1.8 BPM.. 0.087 WS/48.. 3.0 VORP... 16/6/5.. No All-D

Jordan clearly wins titles with Big Z and Hughes, while Lebron's ball-dominance imposed spot-up roles that stalled young players like Hughes, Ingram, and Pippen.

Jordan had Hughes on his team, but due to his inefficient shot jacking style of play which doesn't allow his team to thrive, he stagnated the teams growth and success.

This is why Rodman said the Bulls were able to win a threepeat due to a watering down of talent in the league and them stacking the deck.

Jordan's inefficient style had to be catered to by getting Pippen - a top 5 player in the league, Rodman - DPOY, Steve Kerr - GOAT efficiency 3 point shooter ever, Toni Kukoc - 6th man of the year, Phil Jackson - GOAT Coach ever, and Ron Harper (a 20/5/5 guy reduced to a 6ppg under inefficient Jordan brand ball).

Jordan had great efficiency and better efficiency per possession than Lebron (ortg), while having nearly the same true shooting efficiency despite shooting a higher proportion of chemistry-boosting jumpers compared to lebron's drive-heavy game (imposition of spot-up roles)

It's amazing how far superior Jordan was than Lebron and the many ways to demonstrate it.. Imagine Jordan having the East all-star center and getting a player that was much better than 1990 Pippen - it's like adding an all-star center to the 1990 Bulls and improving Pippen too - Jordan would never lose with this obviously.

And everyone you mentioned was a bit role player that every team has (Kukoc, Kerr, Rodman, etc).. Lebron played with 6MOY (JR Smith) and all-stars like Korver or HOF coaches like Brown or Spo.. The difference is that Lebron had far more STAR HELP like dominant franchise players to play sidekick and perennial all-star 3rd options.. that's far more help than MJ had

Why can't he make the playoffs with a different team despite decent help in the roster?

Jordan joined a 19-win team and added 18 wins to reach the 37-win expectation - he wasn't a preseason favorite that underachieved the expectation like Lebron/AD were in 2021 and 2022
