Teams that play team basketball win in the playoffs

The Heat and Nuggets exemplify that with their unselfish style of play; esp. with their stars unconcerned about racking up stats, more concerned with winning.

Great leaders will for example find when their teammate has a mismatch and give up the ball. They will pass up on a partially contested shot to give their teammate an open look.

Both Butler and Jokic have this team mentality. Jokic scored only 23 last game but was effective in finding teammates, grabbing rebounds. Butler attracts multiple defenders, finds cutters and 3 point shooters.

When I look at someone like Jason Taytum- he has an impressive set of offensive skills. But does he make his teammates better? He seems to have more of a mindset of "How do I score?" vs. "How do we score?".

The Lakers played team ball for 3Q last game but in Q4 LeBron and Davis tried to do it themselves, and worst of all, from the 3 point line.

In the past, both the Bucks and the Warriors had excellent ball movement and wore teams down that way.
