Jimmy Buckets is once again being a fan favorite while leading his underdog team deep in the playoffs.

Doing this without spamming 3s and making the fadeaway and midrange his bread and butter.

Like Kawhi, like Kobe, like MJ.

I think we've seen this enough to conclude that 3ball was right, the ability to consistently get the midrange bucket, while passing out of the double, that's what wins in the playoffs.

The big guard who can shoot the midrange AND defend at at a high level is the most the efficient basketball player.

It's just that this type of player is rare. Most big guard scorers still have small guard mentality. They don't have the dog in them.

Not really. Drexler is still better but Jimmy’s intangibles are off the charts. He very much is MJ’s illegitimate son in many ways. Brings it on both ends. Hyper competitive, and isn’t a coward either. He’s not into teaming up with all these great players to win as easily as possible.

In that other thread, I had him over Glide. And that was a few years ago.

Its still close IMO but Jimmy is STILL the better 2-way player. If...and its a BIG IF....Jimmy can lead Miami to a championship, I don't think there would really be an argument.

Glide was an olympian, a champ and a hall of famer, "Jordan Jr.", there's no use acting as if Jimmy can't be great and still not be significantly better than Clyde the Glide.
