Lebrons teams have never had the ceiling Currys have despite more talent. Imagine swapping 2011 Dwayne Wade or 2020 AD for 2016 klay. Might have won closer to 75-77 games.
And curry's never been to the finals without the main core of his team. Hell, he's the first superstar to have lost b2b in the play-ins around two years ago for what i can remember.
A big part of that was klay being absent for a whole season still recovering from his knee injury even tho the team had won 39 games in the rs without him.

Curry never got to dilute his conference by putting the top 3 first options in the West on 1 team.
So the West was always a real conference where Lebron was lottery with Ingram/Kuzma and needed AD to save his career and standing in LA

Yeah, he never went out and recruited the best player remaining in his conference from the team that nearly beat him the year before

Lebron is clearly past where he was and Curry isn’t. It shouldn’t really matter either way but people will make a big deal out of it regardless.
ESPN is hyping it as such right now.

Curry did that after he was already a champion because he didn't have a super-team like Lebron did - he didn't have 3 first options on 1 team
But unlike Lebron, Curry showed that he win as the clear-cut leader of a non-super-team, while Lebron always needed super-teams or a teammate to lead statistically

Dray would never be all NBA next to lebron... that's absurd. He came into 2015 an unknown second round bench player. Curry elevated his playmaking and whole game with his off ball play and shooting. Kyrie always smoked klay. And by a ton in 2016. Curry would've squeezed way more juice out of prime Kevin Love as well. There's a reason the cavs were the 2016 title favorites going into the season.

Since you're so keen on preseason odds, the Warriors were +600 going into this year, the Lakers +1800.

The Lakers being -1800 with the best sidekick in the league is a knock on Lebron
You can't see that?
How could the GOAT yield perennial underdogs regardless of the stage in his career?... He was underdog to baby Westbrick or fossil Spurs despite having a veteran super-team
That's a knock on Lebron and the lower team ceilings that his skillset yields.. His teams are only favorites on paper (preseason)

Stfu, you weirdo. Doesn't change the fact that he's the only superstar to have blown a 3-1 lead in the finals with a 73-win team.

Yea but the Lakers have made a ton of moves since then. The warriors didn't change their personal much. If yall still had westbrick I guarantee you he'd have shot you out of game 4 and possibly the series vs the grizz.

Meh... Looney with 3-20 rebound games against Sabonis.
20 points? Eh. Only 3 players have had 3-20 rebound games in a series. Wilt Chamberlain, Nate Thurmond, and Kevon Looney.

The poor preseason odds are a reflection of the ludicrous narrative about how Lebron had a bunch of scrubs for help. That narrative caught on and and a bunch of low IQ people bought into it. Hence the ridiculous odds.
Even back then though, I was saying the Lakers were the most talented team in the league, and if they could get it together they'd be contenders.
Once again, Full Court was spot on.
