The reason the Lakers were +6000 odds like... a month ago, and are still undervalued today is because everybody knows theyre one big injury away from being irrelevant. And their top guys aren't exactly iron men. (Well lebron was... but he's old now)
That's baked into the odds. Their size and talent are undeniable. Imagine swapping Klay or Wiggins for AD. That's what curry is working against vs Lebron in this supposed legacy battle. It's a joke help wise.

Even without the 2007, 2015 or 2018 Finals, Lebron is 20-21 in the Finals, so his skillset yields a lottery record on the championship level (low team ceilngs) REGARDLESS OF CAST..
And unlike Kobe, Lebron lost series as 1st option that could be blamed on him shooting below 40%, such as the 2015 Finals, 2007 Finals, or 2008 ECSF.

Curry had laughable talent advantages those two years, and a clear one in 2017 to boot, yet you still make your "he's 3-1 against him" arguments. Not at all surprised to see you have a massive double standard here.

Klay/Dray hadn't been all-stars heading into the 2015 season, while Love/Kyrie were perennial all-stars, so the Cavs were the preseason favorite in 2015 and 2016
But per the usual, Lebron's weak brand of ball underachieved the on-paper talent, so his preseason favorite fell to underdog

Which is exactly why this series isn’t a legacy battle.
Lebron is clearly past where he was and Curry isn’t. It shouldn’t really matter either way but people will make a big deal out of it regardless.

5 > 4, so it's a legacy battle
4 chips in 20 seasons will be weak compared to Curry's frequency

Well this isn’t a finals so the ring doesn’t factor in here.
People on either side will claim things after this series and given that both guys are in different stages of their career that doesn’t make sense.

That’s the chef dingo effect
Instantly turns lottery teams into championship favourite
Whereas Lebron takes super teams to th lottery
No AD no playoff

As usual, Curry is expected to leverage his superior brand of ball/IQ to offset inferior on-paper talent (no preseason favorite status) just like 2016 and 2022 - so Curry must actually play great BASKETBALL, while Lebron has hypnotized the media into blaming losses on lack of supporting TALENT (talent-based winning.. all-star team strategy)
And Curry, Klay and Dray went to the Finals last year, so they're drained while Lebron and AD rested for 2 years..

And Lebron had a clear cut better help in 2016 and now. His Cavs were also pre season title favorites in 2015 and 2016 so it's not Currys fault lebron couldn't build a 70 win dynasty or whatever. Lebrons teams have never had the ceiling Currys have despite more talent. Imagine swapping 2011 Dwayne Wade or 2020 AD for 2016 klay. Might have won closer to 75-77 games.

Curry had 2 All-NBA teammates in 2016, so that's an utterly ridiculous statement to make, and even if you want to say LeBron's team is better now, it's MUCH closer than it was the majority of the time they were matching up in the Finals.
