Look, you have to draw the line somewhere, and there is probably always going to be arguments for those players right on the line, but Clarkson has an argument to be nowhere near the line. From across those websites listed above, here are the players that barely made the cut:
    Grant Williams
    Gary Payton II
    Markelle Fultz
    Bruce Brown

    Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
    Alex Caruso
    Nic Claxton
all guys I'd take over The Bum. The fact that he is even in the league makes him overrated

The Utah Jazz stayed relatively competative compared to the expectations to start last season, and many will point to the jump into stardom for Markannen, but they fail to recognize the jump that Clarkson made as he transitioned into not just a starter, but a player being asked to run the offense. He responded to the additional responsability by averaging over 20 points per game for the first time in his career, and becoming a much better facilitator, with 4.4 assist per game. Up from his career average of 2.5 assist coming into the season. Clarkson has evolved his game to become one of the smoothest scorers in the league. Someone who is truly capable of scoring at every level, while also continue to grow as a player who can lead an offense under Will Hardy.
Smooth certainly isn't the way I'd describe Dribbling the shot clock out and shooting a prayer that is usually a brick!

It’s an interesting note from the podcast and definitely matches what we saw during NBA Summer League when George lit the court on fire. It’s also a reminder that it’s a shame that Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh couldn’t play, not just because it’s a chance for fans to watch them play, but also it’s great experience leading into training camp. George was tasked with being a playmaker, and he showed just that. It’s going to be interesting as the season goes on if George works his way to that starting role. If he continues to show his ability to score at three levels, along with the impressive assist numbers he showed, it should be sooner than later.
I'd guess by the trade deadline that he is the guy

MacMahon mentions that the Jazz look at Collin Sexton as a sixth man. The Jazz had him in that role most of last season so that’s not a surprise. Sexton quietly had a great offensive season for the Jazz having the most efficient scoring line of his career. If he comes into that role again, the Jazz know what they’re getting, and there’s no doubt he can do that again. The only issue is there are going to be a lot of mouths to feed. The Jazz have new rookies, a new starter in John Collins, and there’s going to be a lot of improvement across the board. The story of this season will be seeing how the team changes and develops as the season goes on.
can't see him not being the starter. He might eventually make the most sense as a 6th man but The Bum as your starting 1?

Sexton will have to make an impact on the court. Too often last year, he played well enough but just didn't stand out. This year, he needs to make himself known every time he steps on the court. He must find ways to impact the game outside of scoring. If he can prove valuable in other areas of the game, he can avoid the worst-case scenario.
He stood out to me. Plays hard at both ends of the floor. Biggest question is can he stay healthy with that body and the way he plays?

Does Anthony make the Jazz a powerhouse to win the NBA title? Likely not, but does he give the Jazz a stabe-lish guard who can help get the franchise to Keyonte George? Yes.
they've already got those guys. Would he play ahead of the guys they have?

He's my least favorite jazz man ever by far and that is saying something with all the bums they've had over the years. dribbling, shooting prayers and bricks. What is there to like about the guy?

The Utah Jazz made the right call to trade Rudy Gobert when they did. Not due to his apparent decline that was sudden and dramatic, but because he was making too much money and the team couldn’t really improve around him. So they traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a host of picks and Walker Kessler.
the only reason you make that trade is because of what they got in return. They make the Cavs trade and keep Gobert they would have been one of the top teams in the league. You improve by subtraction

And while Raptor Stats may be dead thanks to corporate malarky, the fact is Gobert was still the highest-rated player on the T-Wolves team last year when it came to defensive excellence (among eligible players). Gobert is far from done, the narrative around him is just wrong and overblown. Sure, he’s not a good fit next to Karl-Anthony Townes.
remains to be seen. Towns was out most of the year

So the three names that do make sense for the Jazz are LaVine, Murray, and Herro. LaVine is the kind of guy who could do some serious damage on his own, as he’s a near-elite scorer from almost every level. He’s got good court-vision and if he was the starting point guard for the Jazz, his assist numbers may double.
guess Lavine at the 1 is better than The Bum
