No, but I do not think that is the discussion anyway.

It is preferable for Ben to take the shots that are good shots for him in the flow of the offense. That adds value.

The problem is that by being no threat at all on offense, it provides holes for the other team to exploit.

One of the game commentators said it well. He said something along the lines of "with Simmons completely unable to score, it's like the Nets are playing a 4 on 5 game on offense." I think it's a valid point.
