I guess it’s possible to send a message maybe. Like you aren’t going to be pushed around or something? But if I’m pushing you around and your response is to nudge me and wait for security now we both owe money? I feel like maybe I can still push you around.
It doesn’t have to be an actual punch even. Do it like Jokic on Morris. Let him know that physical intimidation isn’t happening.
Why are we fake fighting with no intention of real action?
Let just play basketball at that point.

It's funny everyone forgot about this summer already.

I considered Artest on Harden but he kinda snuck him pretending he didn’t mean it like he wanted to get away with it. I’ll count it I suppose but it was more like one of the Malone elbows that’s just dirty and not really…standing up for yourself. I don’t support trying to hurt people with underhanded tactics. I can find it funny depending on the target…but it’s not something to advocate for.

Oh and this is what I was thinking of with Darko:
Darko “Do something to us. Talk go through us” Milicic everyone.
Laugh in his face and play basketball…or fight for real. I respect both reactions fully.
Let’s not both get ejected to prove a point and not even get the satisfaction of somebody getting their ass beat.

That Rondo one on Chris Paul is probably the most recent.

I mentioned that and it’s one of the things that bug me. You treat your teammate like that but get in games against opposition now you’re just talking and having shoving matches. Your teammate gets the Knockout Kings 2000 Butterbean overhand haymaker but the opponent gets a talking to?

That's only half of it. The dumbass a day or two later on went and made an actual documentary to somehow make himself the victim.

The problem with ex-Yu guys back then was that alot of them have seen some real shit growing up.
The Kermit punch is missing in the OP. Too graphic?

Giving it some thought, I have to ask….
Who is it that got Eastern European players the reputation for being soft?
Vlade had a reputation as a flopper, but European bigs were considered soft before Vlade was prominent. And can you even think of a genuinely soft European big man? Toni Kukoc was relatively soft, I guess. And Andrea Bargnani was definitely soft. But who got them the rep?
It isn’t even racial. White American bigs weren’t considered soft. Bird, Laimbeer, Ruland, Cowens and others….. No soft rep.
Most European bigs I can think of were rigged. Including some of the toughest ever.
Is “soft” just having a jumper while being from Europe?

Not a punch, but Artest clocked Harden with a pretty solid elbow.
