Default Where would you rank prime Jokic all-time as an offensive player?

I mean, he's gotta be top 10 right?

Number one for centers. Idk about overall. If he was a great defender he’d legitimately be the best center ever.

Yeah it is pretty hard to put in perspective just how good he is. Volume scorer with elite efficiency and elite playmaking.

I guess the only thing you can criticize is relatively weak 3 pt shooting. He's had a couple of good years from 3 though. He really needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Not a big threat off the ball.

    Easily top ten.

Probably 1 for centers when he is done. You have Wilt over him right now.

Shaq, Kareem, Joel are better straight scorers but obviously not overall offensive players.

Although Jokic's superior free throw shooting over Shaq and Wilt should be well noted.

Wilt was not as offensively impactful as Jokic by any means.

the era has a lot to do with his ability to dominate. jokic is probly only a slightly better vlade divac.

put vlade in a league with 6'5, 240 pound small ball centers and he would put up like 20/15/8 probly

    arvydas sabonis would average 35/15/10

Yeah, I would only put Wilt over him FOR NOW is because of the bullshit numbers he put up and his long career.

Joker has a long way to go in his career still.

How you go from a slightly better Vlade Divac to Sabonis( which is probably a better barometer if he entered the league in the 80's and we got to see his prime) is beyond me.

Jokic doesn't have a finals appearance or 20PPG career average. He's good at a lot of things but he's basically Patrick Ewing right now except he passes the ball and doesn't win in the post season.

I'd put him 25-35 for his versatility

divac was a highly skilled do it all big man. his style didn't work well in a banging back down muscle era but today he would be a poor man's joker for sure. sabonis would be run away goat

That wasn't in question. That sentiment can be expressed without going to the extreme of thinking Divac would be anywhere near Joker level if he were playing now though.

Top 5, top 10, it's pointless to use such specific numbers for rankings. To me, he's potentially GOAT-tier offensive player.

    He's a Bird/Dirk combo.

Per 100 Jokic stats these last three years - 38.5/17.6/12, 129 Offensive Rating
Per 100 Larry Bird's three year MVP stretch - 32.3/12.5/8.2, 117 Offensive Rating

And no, the defense in the mid-80's was not noticeable better than defense currently.
