i did a comparison of every guys shooting percentages in the finals from like 96 to 2020 and it literally went up with the years and era for everyone... everyone from this era shot higher than the guys from the 00s.. and all the 00s shot higher than the 90s


its literally defensive pressure, physicality being extinguished from the game and more fouls being called.


the 2010 game 7 between the lakers and boston was a dog fight. the refs just swallowed their whistle till the 4th quarter. everyone was horrible.. thats just how it was pre banana boat era

the media stopped doing the kobe vs lebron stuff because lebron vs MJ sells more. but no fans really do that debate because the only way to do it is to have zero context and inflate lebron to an absurd extent with zero critique for his faults or asterisks


online however its so completely one sided when you factor in these things that the only real debates that have any momentum are kobe vs lebron ones

MJ > Lebron > Kobe...MJ is still in a tier by himself for now. The GOAT discussion would be VERY interesting if MJ didn't exist. Of course there are other players who deserve to be compared to Lebron and Kobe, but these three players are the most popular regardless of all time rankings.
