Default Rick Pitino's Celtics Full-Court Press vs. Bulls (1997)

25 years ago. They televised the game on IBC 13 on November 1. Rick Pitino's full court press ain't effective in the NBA. They did beat the defending NBA Champion Chicago Bulls, 92-85 who was missing point forward Scottie Pippen due to injury. That Celtics team had plenty of potential they traded 3rd overall pick Chauncey Billups who had a rape case back in 1997 to the Denver nuggets in 1998-99 NBA Season. Billups only started to play like a lottery pick when he played for the Timberwolves, and Pistons.

Pitino's teams shot more 3's than anyone else was at the time. Nothing like now of course

    1. The trade...

Boston-to-Toronto: Billups, Dee Brown, Roy Rogers, John Thomas

Toronto-to-Boston: Kenny Anderson, Popeye Jones, Zan Tabak

    2. Ron Mercer is an underrated bust. Had a lot of promise coming out of Kentucky, and did nothing in the league.
