Are any IPA beers objectively good tasting or are their fans just looking to prove they like beer more than everyone else?

I quit drinking alcohol at 17, but I can doubtlessly recommend a marvelously delicious IPA, after merely smelling it and tasting it from my date’s lips:

Half Acre’s DAISY CUTTER.

I think it’s brewed with a very sweet/sour hops, and no grain IIRC. Grapefruit rinds, geraniums, star anise, nutmeg, roses, orange blossom, it’s truly MF incredible.
