What's the hype with this kid? Another tall skinny ass white Porzingis?


7 feet, 195 lbs. . He needs to be 240lbs minimum to not get injured in the NBA while banging against centers.


He has a nice shooting stroke for a center, I'll give him that.

Watch his highlights. If he does not get injured, he seems a game changer.

Of course highlights are tough to judge a player so am very interested in how he plays in the nba...hence the hype.

Tall guys that can shoot, pass, and dribble are usually a huge boost to your offense just purely by virtue of keeping the defense honest and the ball moving.

He looks pretty much exactly like a white Durant, if Durant hadn't gone the pure shooter direction.

His main thing seems to be a great understanding of the game that few players have and with that height, he can use that to dominate all parts of the game.

he CAN'T shoot off the dribble

he CAN'T shoot off a real move

and no - the pull-up in transition after the behind-the-back reset - that's nothing - everyone does that... that isn't the kind of off-the-dribble that I'm talking about

He has no fadeaway in the halfcourt via turnaround or off-the-dribble.. He has a very cheap Dirk imitation that doesn't body the defender - it won't work on the next level and he looks robotic, not smooth like Dirk - there's no comparison.. This guy is a twig with spot-up ability - that's it

I don't see anything KD but besides height and frame.

Chet to me looks more like a big man who can shoot and decently handle the rock providing no guards are getting up under him.

KP or modern day Smits with range is the best comparison I can think. You look at KD I see a 7' SG.
