Default The 1990's east was weak.

From 1991-2003 The bulls were the only eastern team to win a title.

The only team to beat them had the huge advantage of signing Horace Grant away as a free agent while the Bulls didn’t find an adequate replacement for him until the next season.

The second-best player on the second-best team in the east from 1991-98 was John Starks.

This was a bad period of time for the east. You had 2 years of the magic as legit contenders (1 of which was ruined by injury in the playoffs) and that was it outside the bulls over a span of 13 years.

This need by Jordan stans such as 3ball to prop up the Knicks and Pacers is pitiful.

The Bulls in 1994 were a bad call away in game 5 from beating the Knicks in 6 games without Jordan.

And that was the biggest threat that Jordan faced in the east from 1991 to 1998.

The 90s Knicks were so pressed to stop MJ, they traded for old ass Rolando Blackman for the mere fact that MJ said he was the toughest defender he ever faced

Knicks fans to this day will tell you he should have come in for Starks in game 7 of the NBA finals.

that was his last NBA game.

That's how stretched and thin 1990s NBA rosters were

Don't forget who the top seed was the year Jordan retired in the East, a team I've literally never seen mentioned on here, ever; the legendary Danny Manning led Hawks
