Not that every player is like that it's definitely only a rarified few that try against the odds like that but he's definitely not one of those kinds of players, because he visibly gives up as if he truly believes "what's the point". That's where I think this deck stacking behavior comes from - If the deck is stacked properly from the start he isn't as likely to be seen by fans sinking like this. He knows how he is so he tries his best to recruit talent and help cover it up by keeping odds stacked heavily in his favor.

Facts.
I witnessed this firsthand when he went to the Lakers and finally got to see his game on a nightly basis. His body language just completely changes when the chips are down. He becomes less jovial, he is far less vocal on the court. He becomes passive and defers ball handling duties to someone else. He settles for jump shots and ceases to go aggressive at the rim. This was especially obvious during that first disastrous season with the lakers. Whenever we were down big in the fourth quarter, he begins to isolate himself from his teammates and is the first to head to the locker room after the whistle sounds for the final time.
This is a big contrast to a player like Kobe who was always a part of those memorable laker comebacks including those classic series’ against Celtics, Portland and Sacramento.

Life after Lebron is a beautiful thing It’s like finally leaving an abusive relationship and you begin to see things clearly for the first time. Kuzma will have a great number of years ahead of him.

Won playoff game vs Indiana being behind 27 points.
Won game 6 2013 down 10 points in 4th quarter.
Won vs 2016 73 win warriors being down 3-1.
Won 2012 Championship after losing Bosh for 8 straight playoff games.
LeBron overcomes stacked odds against him. Not the other way around.

Wrong.
Bron has more playoff comebacks than Kobe ever did.
Kobe only had success when playing with stacked HOF in their prime front courts.
Kobe threw away a 3-1 lead. Where was the mental will power there?

The Cavs are down a lot with 4 minutes to go in a do or die must win game. The Celtics walk the ball up slowly to kill the clock. What does LeBron do? Gives them space to ALLOW them to kill the clock and secure victory.
What does 40 year old 400lb low-post specialist Shaq immediately do? He recognizes that LeBron gave up on playing defense to throw the game so he hustles up from the low post to force some action and try to gain possession more quickly and not allow the towel to be thrown in. That's the ONLY way to keep "trying" and everyone who's ever played basketball knows this including Shaq who was always a killer in the Playoffs. Anyone who's ever played the game knows LeBron quit that series, and it's not the only series he's quit.
Now, yes I recognize the odds of him climbing back were low. But I also recognize that that doesn't matter to some players, they want to fight tooth and nail no matter what. And that is the more respectable road IMHO. I respected Shaq more after I watched that game. I respected LeBron less. LeBron acts like Eeyore thinking to himself "what's the point."
So I have no doubt OP is telling the truth that LeBron put his head down and gave up this Playoffs, already probably thinking to himself "how do I stack the deck better for next season." as his strategy to win as opposed to actually trying to play hard the rest of the game or series.

He isn't a laker fan at all despite his username.
It's like having a username ChicacoBulls and being angry when the Bulls win. Borderline retarded.

Down 3-1 vs greatest team of all time when did Bron quit?
He even had the greatest defensive hustle play of all time.

Thread Cliffs:
Bron has had more playoff comebacks then anyone in NBA history. Greatest mental willpower to persevere.
Nobody has refuted any points I made this thread.
