Lemme guess, OP is a LeBron stan?
2nd over pick not starting in the NBA means the Warriors starting frontcourts is especially talented to compete without him. Oubre has been a nightmare, why though the gravity stephen curry attracts making the game easier for everyone..... just not anymore. When does this begin back up, when Klay returns and they acquire another #1-#2 pick. Perhaps when Iggy, Durant and Barnes return too. 3 ex teammates, leading 3 separate teams to a better record than Warriors. sounds like some anti-gravity physics stephen curry is permitting, the further away they the safer teammates results. i believe that would make somebody the definition of a blackhole, or just somebody with bad body odor

no dups in the stands doing gymnastics with the stans. just high iq users with fascinating basketball observations. which is why we were unanimously voted Insidehoops 2020 ROTY and 2020 MVP

Yes, iconic accolades indeed. Much iconic than any teens or kids choice awards out there from nickelodeon and there's more to come in the future.

What does that have to do with your original statement? Clearly Steph isn't "withering" away. And clearly he is a superstar. It's funny you mention that he "prioritizes" stats. Please tell me, who else would be doing the scoring? Wiggins?

The fact is, Steph is doing the best that he can with a cast that is lack luster and injured. Draymond is nowhere near the player he was in 2015-18. Oubre has been terrible. Wiseman has missed significant time and has barely started. In addition, Stephen has been out and the team is 1-6 in those games.

Just admit your comment was dumb, because it was.

because with klay, they would be in the playoffs, without him? can't even make 8th seed. wonder how the suns went from 9th seed to the 2nd seed in a season...the acquisiiton of cp3 may have something to do with that. cp3>>>curry

the spurs without a superstar have a better seed

don't talk to me about mvp candidacy when you can't even lead your team to the playoffs during your prime

what a joke of a player.

The Warriors are only 2 games out of the 7th seed in spite of the fact that they are 1-6 without Steph, in spite of the fact that Oubre was a national joke to start the season, in spite of Draymond's inability to score in an empty gym.

Curry is currently 2nd in the league in RPM, pretty good for "a joke of a player".

FYI the Suns went 8-0 in the bubble without Chris Paul. The only teams in the bubble were teams that had a chance to make the playoffs so it isn't like they were playing weak teams.

they were 9th seed while curry was still playing. a "superstar" in his prime has no excuses not to make the playoffs when the damn SPURS are a playoff seed...

First of all Steph hasn't missed the playoffs yet dumbass.

Kobe missed the playoffs in his prime. Garnett missed the playoffs 3 straight years in his prime. One person can only overcome so much.

Any comment on Steph being 2nd in the league in RPM?

i'm not a box score watcher, idgaf about stats. he should never have been in the mvp talk. cp3 took a young OKC squad to the 6th seed last year and now turned a previous 9th seed to a 2nd seed.

why can't a much younger curry lead his team to the playoffs? would it have something to do with him turning everyone into a screen setter?

Like i said they haven't missed the playoffs dumbass. They are only 2 games out of the 7 seed.

The Suns were 8-0 in the bubble against playoff teams without Chris Paul. They were already on the rise before Paul got there.

You act like the Warriors are underachieving yet Vegas was predicting them to be roughly .500. Nobody expected them to be a top 4 seed in the West.

Wiggins is having a career year in scoring efficiency. I wonder why.

8-0? LMAO what seed did they end up? teams go through good stretches all the time and then regress back to their mean.

cp3 is a proven impact player.

i'm not even debating curry being a good player, he's just not "mvp" good. it was a joke at the start of the season when the media was forcing that narrative, and it's a joke now.

    end of story.

When exactly was Steph at the top of the MVP ladder? i must have missed it.

Do you have any examples of this "forced narrative" from the media? If so please feel free to share.

That's the ticket, pointing out Warriors roster means nothing when 2nd-3rd year 21-22yo on Kings, Mavs, Spurs, Pelicans who aren't household names with worse teammates have their squad in similar or better positions.

This is the standard Curry we all remember he floated Warriors around pre-2015. Right there next to Ingram's Pelicans and Morants Grizzlies. Not even scratching Lillard territory anymore. He just can't hoist average teams like that, he's not even the leader on his own team

i'm not digging up articles from 2 months ago. it was clear as day the media was talking about curry 4 mvp. and those of us who actually watch basketball were laughing our guts out at the thought alone.

yep. no one has a leg to stand on in this argument when teams with equal/similar casts are in the playoff hunt.
